Xi Jinping emphasized that adhering to the leadership of the party and adhering to the direction of socialism are the essential characteristics of China-Laos relations. The two parties of China and Laos should continue to deepen political mutual trust, improve governance capabilities, and strengthen communication and cooperation in the fields of politics, law enforcement, and security. It is necessary to deeply tap the potential of the China-Laos railway, focus on the development along the railway, steadily promote the construction of the China-Laos economic corridor, actively promote the concept of regional connectivity development, and create a model for “Belt and Road” cooperation in the region.
