Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Nong Rong meets with Kamal Tshering, Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Bhutan



On October 5, 2023, Assistant Foreign Minister Nong Rong met with Kamal Tshering, Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Bhutan, while attending the 3rd China-Tibet “Rim of the Himalayas” International Cooperation Forum in Nyingchi.

Nongrong welcomed Tsering to China to attend the Environmental Protection Forum, saying that China and Bhutan are friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers. The relations between China and Bhutan are traditionally friendly. In recent years, the two countries have maintained high-level exchanges and pragmatic cooperation in various fields has steadily expanded. China has always adhered to the diplomatic concept of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness with its neighbors, and insisted on being good friends and partners with its neighbors. China’s development not only achieves itself, but also brings opportunities to countries around the world, including Bhutan. China is willing to work with Bhutan to make good use of the Environmental Protection Forum platform, further deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and push China-Bhujia friendly relations to a new level.

Celin congratulated the third Environmental Protection Forum on the successful holding and thanked China for its invitation and warm and friendly reception. Celin said that he fully agreed with China’s evaluation of the relations between the two countries. The two countries share a profound friendship and have many similarities in culture and other aspects. Bhutan has always supported the one-China principle and looks forward to deepening cooperation with China in trade, tourism and other fields.
