China ‘strongly opposes’ continued cooperation between Britain, the US and Australia on nuclear submarines, its foreign ministry said at a regular briefing on Friday .
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said, “China is gravely concerned about this situation and firmly opposes it,” in response to a question that cited a media report that the Prime Minister’s visit British Minister Rishi Sunak to the United States in March could lead to announcements of greater cooperation on nuclear submarines.
