Blinken: Washington continues to adhere to One China principle

The US continues to adhere to the One China principle and does not support Taiwan independence, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said during a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Report informs citing TASS.

The US is open to discussing the guidelines for bilateral relations between the US and China, is ready to responsibly manage US-China relations and cooperate in areas where it serves the interests of both sides, Blinken noted.

The US side continues to adhere to the principle of ‘One China’ and does not support the independence of Taiwan, he added.
